The past Saturday August 9, 2025, from 22:00 to 04:00, the streets of Villa del Prado They became a real battlefield against the undead. In this new edition of Survival Zombie, residents and visitors lived an experience of immersive terror that, according to our coverage and the voices of the protagonists, greatly surpassed the previous ones held in the municipality.
It was not our first time covering this event in Villa del Prado. Compared to the previous edition, the jump in quality was evident: better makeup, better costumes, better tests and a much more involving general atmosphere. The makeup of the zombies was shocking: torn skin, bleeding wounds and clothing according to each scene, achieving a realism that completely immersed you in the story.
One of the elements that surprised us the most was the use of darkness as part of the narrative. The tasks were especially grim, which increased the tension. This, although it was a challenge to document visually as journalists, was a success for the players' experience. In the words of one of them: “You can't even pee in peace, there are zombies everywhere”.

The constant feeling of insecurity was a complete success: neither an alley nor a square was a safe area. Any corner could hide a zombie crouching, ready to jump on the unsuspecting.

The plot of this edition was solid and coherent. Each task led to another, sometimes even forcing you to return to previous locations to obtain forgotten clues or complete pending missions. This kept the players in constant movement and with their adrenaline high.
The actors, both zombies and human characters, managed to convey emotion and realism. The performances were credible and committed, adding a narrative bonus that elevated the experience.
If there's one thing this edition had in abundance, it was blood. Cruder scenes and more spectacular deaths than in the previous edition. However, the appearance of massive zombie hordes were missing as in other editions of Survival Zombie. A few mass ambushes would have raised the intensity even further.

A small but deadly map

The playing field was approximately 150.000 m², with hardly any corners to hide. The small size meant that encounters with zombies were frequent. The events, for the most part, were located close to each other, which facilitated the mobility of the players, but also concentrated the action in certain areas.
Although in future editions it would be interesting to disperse the locations more to diversify routes, although the limitations of the town and the lack of facilities in some areas conditioned this distribution.

During the night we collected impressions of the real protagonists:
“We are screwed, everything is super dark and there are zombies everywhere… and how the bastards run”.
“We really love the tasks, although my goodness… we are up and down looking for clues”.
“We are a large group and lucky that none of them have been caught”.
“I asked for the day at work to come”.
“My son is delighted, but I think I'm going to let them eat us so we can rest”.

With 398 registered attendees, the Villa del Prado City Townhall was very satisfied with the edition: "After several past editions, this has undoubtedly been the best. There has been better use of the facilities, more scenes, more games and more actors, which has helped a lot to the gameplay and the story".
The organization also highlighted the absence of incidents and the atmosphere of general enjoyment. “I wouldn't have any complaints, just expand more for future editions and continue improving”commented from the Villa del Prado City Townhall.
Conclusion
The Survival Zombie Villa del Prado 2025 It was an intense, immersive and adrenaline-filled experience. It improved notably in all its sections compared to previous editions, offering a night where tension, where darkness and blood were the protagonists. A must for survival horror lovers, where the only options are to run... or join the living dead.
